What we built

TecharenaBG was engaged to design, physically build, and commission a complete data center environment for a global technology company's Sofia facility. The project encompassed full rack infrastructure, server installation, network switching, and three structured cabling systems - LAN, fibre optic, and power - all delivered to enterprise specification and handed over with full documentation.

The build was completed in a single continuous deployment window, with all 66 servers pre-staged and firmware-updated before arriving on site. This approach minimised disruption and allowed the full 6-rack row to go live within the agreed timeframe.

Technical highlights

Key challenges solved

Cable management at scale

Managing LAN, fibre, and power across 6 racks simultaneously required strict colour-coding and route planning to keep the build maintainable long-term.

Zero-downtime commissioning

Servers were staged and pre-configured before physical installation, minimising on-site time and ensuring a clean first boot for all 66 units.

Switch topology design

10 switches distributed across 6 racks with redundant uplinks and a documented VLAN structure to meet the client's network segmentation requirements.

Fibre certification

All fibre runs were OTDR tested and certified before handover, giving the client baseline measurements for future troubleshooting.
